Vendor Code Of Conduct

 Makers Markets – Toowoomba requires all Stallholders, Volunteers, Visitors and Suppliers to comply with the following Code of Conduct:

  1. A Siteholder/Supplier must at all times co-operate with Event Team Members and any of their suppliers such as Security or Traffic Controllers and respond to any direction given by Event Team Members in relation to the operation, occupation and use of the site, equipment, goods and vehicles. 
  2. A Siteholder/Supplier/Volunteer/Visitor must at all times act courteously and politely to others and must not engage in:
    a)conduct that is verbally or physically abusive, dangerous or disruptive;
    b) harassing conduct;
    c) threaten any violence;
    d) discriminating or intimidating behaviour;
    e) the sale of illegal or prohibited items;
    f) the sale of items which you do not have legal ownership of or
    g) make any derogatory or defamatory comments;
    to Event Team Members or their representatives, nor to any other siteholder, customer, third party or member of the public. Any such conduct will not be tolerated and Makers Markets - Toowoomba reserves the right to require the Stallholder/Supplier/Volunteer/Visitor to immediately vacate the venue and for a Stallholder to remove their stall, equipment, goods and products. 
  3. All activities conducted by a Siteholder/Supplier must be conducted in a manner that will not endanger the safety or security of any other person or the stall, goods or equipment of any other stallholder. Marquees and all other structures must be adequately weighted down/secured to ensure safety, incase of inclement weather. The use of tent pegs is not recommended at any venue locations due to potential underground infrastructure onsite, any damage done and costs to rectify, will be the responsibility of the person responsible for the damage. 
  4. It is a condition of entry that all Children must be supervised at all times. 
  5. Site holders and Suppliers must follow all directions made by Event Team Members for driving onsite and parking of their vehicles and the delivery of goods to a Site. Mobility scooters are permitted onsite however motorised scooters or bikes are not permitted. No driving within pavilions during set up times due to pedestrians. 
  6. All sites must be left by a Siteholder in a clean and tidy condition. Siteholders must not accumulate any refuse/waste. Siteholders are responsible for the disposal of all stock refuse/waste/recycling at their cost and expense. These items are not to be disposed of in the onsite rubbish bins which are provided for members of the public consumption/usage onsite 
  7. A Siteholder/Supplier/Visitor must not:
    a) smoke or vape within the showgrounds;
    b) have an open fire onsite whilst camping within the showgrounds
    c) bring glass bottles within the showgrounds
    d) bring or allow anyone to bring animals to the venue (excepting assistance-dogs or guide-dogs) 
  8. Stallholders must comply with any safety directions or standards for the products or goods being sold at their site. 
  9. Stallholders/Suppliers must all times be dressed appropriately and must wear appropriate footwear. 
  10. All incidents or accidents must be immediately reported to the Events Team located in the Information Site.
